Here is a wonderful ‘Google Now’ looking roundup of this weeks exciting announcements from Google I/O 2013.

So, I was excited to try out all the new features and toys Google graced the world with today, including the merging of Google Talk and Google Hangouts into one complete item called Hangouts.
So, as soon as it became available to iOS devices I downloaded and fired it up. Easy enough so far.
Next step if to login of course. So I begin putting my credentials in for one of my Google Apps credentials and was then met with an unpleasant error stating the feature had not been enabled for my account and to contact my account administrator to essentially remedy the situation.
Well, I am the administrator so I log in to the Google Apps dashboard for this account.
Finding where to go to enable was not very clear so hopefully this helps.
Once logged into the dashboard of your Google Apps account you may see the below panel on the main dashboard page.
If not, then just navigate to the settings tab.
There you need to select Talk on the left.
You will have an option now to Enable Hangouts for messaging and video calls.
When you select this, this the previous Talk settings will be disabled (essentially disappear)
Then you are greeted with all the warnings you need to understand. Check off that you have read and acknowledge and continue will then become an option (otherwise just hit cancel to leave it but you will not be able to use hangouts at all in that organization)
That’s it, once you hit continue you are done and it is now enabled. Log back into Google+ on your desktop or launch the new Hangouts app on Android or iOS and login. You are all set.

According to some researchers and analysts, Pinterest just had some damming news released recently stating that Pinterest is not delivering the monetized increase in profits as it should compared to posting on Twitter or Facebook. Researchers from Zappos Labs state that Pinterest users are “far more likely to share a purchase than Twitter or Facebook–but [...]

I grew up in the 80′s, and one of my favorite movies from that time is Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. As I write this thought down, I was reminded of one particular scene; the one where Principle Ed Rooney visits Ferris’s home to check on him. He rings the doorbell, but instead of Ferris opening [...]
Continue reading...As recent as a decade ago, business marketing intelligence meant static advertising when promoting your brand. Multitudes of brands put their best foot forward by making sure they had the latest and greatest and placing lots of pretty lighting around it to ensure you know they are the best place to get it. Any critics [...]

It’s the Saturday after the drawing for the largest lottery jackpot in history, and I was not one of the lucky ones with the winning ticket. I have to admit though I was caught up just as millions of others were in the hopeful anticipation that I would wake up with a changed life. In [...]

Let me start with a disclaimer/warning. This is slightly long, I apologize but there are important parts. The only thing I want is for service providers of food to hopefully look inwards and learn how to do some things better. If you are particularly squeamish to the stomach you may not like the end. That [...]
Continue reading...First there was print, then radio and television. Each of these outlets share one thing in common; a captive audience that served one too many. Unless the audience had the option or ability at the time to flip the page or channel, or tune to another station, then they were force fed whatever commercialism was [...]
Continue reading...Since there has been work there have been lunch breaks, and for a vast majority of those workers an inevitable bout with lack of energy brings the majority of productivity to a crashing halt. Companies and people both tirelessly look for any solution to help stave off the fatigue, and most determine the answer is [...]
Continue reading...What a world we live in today. Over 20 million people work in a virtual environment, wether it be from home or on the road. That number grows by 2% a year, and yet while 42% of US employers allow their staff to work remotely they still hold brick-n-mortar mentality when it comes to efficiency [...]
